So who are we? We’re an independent entertainment website starting in the late 1990′s by a couple of guys in high school who wanted their opinions on entertainment media to be heard. At one time we had the champagne wishes and caviar dreams that every young website creator has but we realized that it wasn’t going to happen, there are too many sites online, too many avenues to get information.

So why are we still here 10 years later? Mainly to still have our voice heard, but without all the glorification that comes with hitting 100 hits in a day, finding out that its really just one person refreshing over and over again. We’re here to write about entertainment, unbiased, unabashed and just tell you, the reader, what we think. We love entertainment, we have special places in our hearts for movies, music, video games and everything else in between. No doubt about it, we’re addicted, but in a good way. We’ll also strive to bring the very best to the table, no matter what so you can count on Entertainmentopia to deliver and since we don’t report to a higher power you can trust what we say no matter how far from the public opinion it is.

Movie review sites are a dime a dozen these days when blog software is almost-too-easy to install and everyone with an opinion is a glorified critic, and we can’t compete with that, we don’t even try, but what we do attempt to do is show you, our readers, that we’ve gained your trust over the years, we’ve provided opinions, and we’d like to think we’ve earned your respect as the critics that we are. There’s always going to some other site that’s bigger than us, with more corporate connections than we could ever imagine, but Entertainmentopia likes to embody our reviews and articles with the true opinions of our writers, uninhibited by corporate oversight, and unafraid to tell it like it is. As a site we know we’ll never be the one-stop solution for all your entertainment coverage, but after you check out that mega-site, remember that we’re always here, and at Entertainmentopia, We Are Entertainment.
