Entertainmentopia Returns

So, what happened?

There’s a long story behind why we disappeared for so long, but I’ll spare you from the details for now. All that needs to be said was our host went down, when they went down, we went down, without a backup. Without a backup means that we didn’t practice proper data retention and most of the site was lost in the process.

Yes, 13 years of the site are gone.

In a way its a good thing, well losing your half-life’s-work is never a good thing, but what it does is allow us to start fresh on a few things that we really want to work on, renew our focus on what this site really is, a love of entertainment and the art of putting it together. The preconception that we could be one of the big boys are gone, we’re a small website that is going to cater to the independent artists, good movies, the one’s we’re looking forward to seeing. Sure, you’ll get the latest Marvel review or Bond review, but we have the ability now to be what we were always destined to be, one of the little guys, having fun doing what we do.

Sure, you’ll find news here, reviews, articles and flashes back to the past, but most of that you’ll find all over the web, maybe you’ll find it in more than one place, but what we bring to the table is a little bit of passion that may be lacking from those other guys.

It’s going to take us a while to get set back up, get us back into the groove that we once had. Re-develop our media contacts and start to discover the stuff we want to feature on the site. Give us a little bit of time, you’ll be happy with the result.
